After a well-known and well-respected local architecture firm unfortunately had to close their doors, The Ackermann Group looked to Elevar Design Group to pick up the baton and see Phase 1 - a 5-story mixed-use project with apartments, office space, and spec retail space at the southwest corner of Madison and Whetsel - through to completion. During that process, The Ackermann Group secured additional property at the northeast corner of Madison and Whetsel for additional development within the neighborhood to continue the transformation started in Phase 1.
Ackermann, along with Al Neyer as the General Contractor, looked to Elevar to provide full architecture services for Phase 2 – a 4-story mixed-use project with 116 apartments and approx. 7,200 sf of spec retail space along Madison Rd. Working closely with our Client, Costandi Studio, the City of Cincinnati Zoning Department, MCURC (Madisonville Community Urban Redevelopment Corporation), and the Form-Based Code, Elevar created a complimentary yet unique design for Phase 2 that will continue the momentum of the revitalization of Madisonville. Phase 3, currently under construction, will continue the development back to the south side of Madison Rd., ultimately revitalizing 3 city blocks in the center of Madisonville.
