Megen Construction, one of Cincinnati’s largest general contractors and one of the region’s largest minority-owned firms, is more than tripling the size of their Forest Park headquarters. The renovation and addition to the office will add 11,109 SF to the overall building, a courtyard, and an expanded parking lot.

The addition consists of a brand new 9,344 SF two-story building and a 1,765 SF open-floor reception area that connects the new building with the existing office. The reception area, called The Family Room, will serve as the new main entrance, the lobby/waiting area, flexible meeting/break-out space, lounge space, and event/entertainment space. The exterior of The Family Room will feature a modern custom-designed façade that ties the design language of the building together with the new Megen Construction brand identity. This space will have tall ceilings with a sky light strip of windows to allow for natural light.

The new addition will feature a 209 SF kitchen, a 475 SF fitness room, 2 new bathrooms, 17 new offices, 2 new conference rooms, and a shop with two 10’ overhead garage doors for loading and unloading. The new building will also feature an additional large office for a nonprofit organization. The Family Room and adjacent kitchen area will have 2 sets of double-doors that lead out to the court yard out back. This space will serve as a break/lounge space as well as event or entertainment space. Connecting The Family Room and the second floor of the new building will be a wide staircase with a landing that overlooks The Family Room.
