Rivers Edge Montessori

Elevar worked with the OFCC and Dayton Public Schools to design and construct a new Montessori school in downtown Dayton, OH. Located on just four acres, the new buildings are situated along the Little Miami River with a spectacular view toward the city. This premier site was selected to create a state of the art building the highlight the District’s well acclaimed Montessori school. Due to the small site, the building was designed on three-stories and is nestled against the existing levee, providing a protected playground area for the youngest grades and allowing direct access to the levee from the second floor Media Center. Two separate wings – one academic and one specialty – converge to create a lobby of centralized circulation space.
