St. Elizabeth Hospital CSSU & Spine & Radiology Center Renovations

Our team worked with St. Elizabeth Healthcare to design a 16-bed Cardiac Short Stay Unit in existing shell space on the fourth floor of St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, Kentucky. The patients in this unit will be those who have been to the Cardiac Cath Lab and those who have come through the Emergency Department and need extended observation. Patient care is rendered in single bedrooms, and providers collaborate in a team center that is in the center of the unit with visibility throughout the space.

St. Elizabeth Healthcare engaged Elevar Design Group to expand their growing Spine Center services to their Ft. Thomas location. This comprehensive and specialized care treats degenerative spine conditions and traumatic injuries with state-of-the-art technology and the region’s prominent spine specialists. Elevar provided architectural and interior design services from programming through construction administration. The Spine Center at St. Elizabeth Ft. Thomas includes a welcoming departmental reception and waiting space, 2 procedure rooms, private exam rooms, patient holding bays, and staff support spaces including break room and offices.

Concurrently with the Spine project, Elevar provided design services to St. Elizabeth Healthcare to renovate their Ft. Thomas Radiology department. The renovation included a new reception and waiting space, restrooms, private offices and a full interior finish refresh of the corridors.
